Is there a way to prevent monsters from waking up after they hear shooting, if they're not behind any doors? I tried putting some "block sound" linedefs, but it didn't help.

two adjacent two sided lines
So it does take two... I never knew exactly what was wrong, only that one alone never seemed to work, so usually I just make a ton of them block-sound and hope it works :|

Do they have to be facing opposite directions as well, or just two in a row?

It seems kind of odd too because in a lot of the original ID levels, they only use one line at a time.

Hiya.

What about just using the "Deaf" flag for the monster?
