When I try to switch to the 3D mode the program reports an error. The error states the following:

Error - 2005530561 while initializing 3D mode: Automation error.

What is this? Can it be sorted out?

You need a DirectX compitable 3D card. You also need the latest version of DirectX. You may want to play with the 3D mode settings (press F5 for Configuration dialog, open the 3D Mode tab).
