Does anyone know how to merge one level with another? Like, copy a room from one wad, and then paste it into another wad? I've tried doing this in Windeu32 but can't.
Thanx.

i dunno about windeu but deepsea can do this (as could doom builder 0.2 although the latest version has no copy/paste at all).

DCK can do it. select all the linedefs you want to copy. Then open up another wad and paste it there.

In DCK, I would go into sector mode and copy whatever sectors you need. The linedefs will be copied, but you will also copy the sector information as well (flats, floor and ceiling heights, etc.).

In Wad author you can just drag and drop the sectors from one map to another.

Hiya.

Yeah, WadAuthor it's easy. You can have multiple maps open; then just select, drag, drop. :) If you want to get really creative, open up a Hexen level, select all, copy, close, open DOOM level, paste. :) Of course, you have to hit the Check Level button, then "Fix All", to clear up the textures. Things are up to you...but at least all the geometry is there. :)

Until Doom Builder is fixed I would *******ly go with WadAuthor on this one. It's a good idea because it's the most confient one.
