lift raise wait lower

...like the quake games (TF etc.) where you step on an lift and it instantly lifts you up. at the mo it uses a rather complex conveyor script (which i think i can make more simple anyway) just wandering if anyone else has managed it?

Doom doesn't have such a line type. Only Hexen and all source ports which support Hexen format maps do.

What port are you mapping for?

boom compatible, will just have to stick with the voodoo scripting, then. i use it extensively throughout the wad anyway

EDGE has the option to make ANY type of linedef you want, with the doom options and tons of new options. Even though EDGE has boom compatibility, the DDF code needed to make your new linedefs wouldn't work with any other port.

Edit: I suggest making a zdoom compatible map, its the basic format, everyone uses it, and it has hexen features.

Yes but it's not part of the normal editing features, you'd have to actually make it, so what graf said still stands.
