I read Rex's tutorial on adding textures to a wad, but when I did it, it added the whole wad. I just want to pick out a few textures in the wad to add to my map. How do I do that?

Curious about how to do this as well. There's a few textures in some of the Quake packs from the Afterglow page I'd like to use, but I don't want to include the entire thing in my wad--adding unnecessary filesize to it.

i`m also curious!

There should be a sticky or something with the most frequently asked and most basic noob-questions.

Both methods described in that tutorial should work. Is it patches or textures you have too many of? (Bear in mind that the TEXTURE1 lump in your PWAD replaces the IWAD's texture lump at runtime, so it has to include all the IWAD textures plus those you've added.)

(Unless he's modding specifically for ZDoom or derivative.)
