Greetings -

I'm trying to add a MIDI for music into my WAD. I'm using SLumpEd. I tried simply adding a new lump from file and selecting the midi file, renamed D_E4M1, but it won't play when I load that level. I see next to the name it has (MIDI) and I'm pretty sure I need to convert that to (MUS) but I know not how.

Thanks,

NT

That's because E4M1 plays D_E3M4.

If you don't want to override D_E3M4, you'll have to use MAPINFO or equivalent to change the music played by that level.

The solution:

1) Go to this thread
2) Download a MIDI
3) Import it into your WAD
4) Use MAPINFO to assign the track to your map

I hope I helped.

Indeed. If his WAD is just a single map, though, he could just replace the D_E3M4 lump for more or less the same result. :)
