Is there a way to edit the instruments and tempo used in midi files, cos I've found a couple of love songs that will sound really ironic if I speed them up and make them creepy as opposed to jolly! Thanks in advance chaps :)

What I used to fiddle around with the original MIDIs was MidiYote, it is a java based program but you might also want to see if you can find something else if it doesn't fit your prerequisites.

I have made some decent rearrangements of some good songs but whenever I save them and play them in media player or VLC they just sound normal. How can I get the midi files to play with the amended instruments? This is with MidiYodi by the way. According to the website it should work just by saving the midi.

It should work when you load them via Wintex or XWE into the appropiate D_####### song within the custom WAD you are using.
