The Universal Strife Dialogue Format compiler USDC can produce vanilla-supported script files, but they won't be fully understood by the engine. Most obviously, the dialogue pages will always have 5 choices in them (besides the goodbye). The defined choices will be padded by null choices. This can be easily verified if you decompile then recompile a SCRIPTxy lump from Strife and try it with vanilla.

Is there a possibility an updated USDC will be released that will generate vanilla-compatible scripts (especially considering that the current USDF is not much more featured than the KSSC one). I prefer to edit with USDF than the hacky-looking KSSC format.
