DEUTEX help

Recommended Posts

I run deutex and I get a horrible error!

Load error: No DPMI - csdpmi*b.zip
I use DOSBOX 0.74.

It's so I can make something like Freedoom!

You just need the CWSDPMI program. Go to djgpp.delorie.com and snoop around, you should be able to find it there. Or google it.

I put the the zip into the deutex directory, run with dosbox and get the same error.

"Help! My computer is not working!"
"What's the problem exactly?"
"The screen stays black, even when I turn it on!"
"Is the screen plugged to the computer?"
"How? I didn't see any plug anywhere."
"You've got a cable that you need to plug to the computer's graphic card, generally on the rear face of the case."
"Wait... I have to get the computer out of its box?"

You need to extract the files and copy the cwsdpmi.exe file into the folder and then try to run the program. That is why I prefer to run these utilities on Linux. The deutex program needs cwsdpmi.exe alongside it in the folder to be able to run in DOS.
