What does it mean by "synchronized"? Is that when you see lights in a hallway blink in succession (Doom E2M7 IIRC)?

Thanks.

I believe the inSync strobe specials will make all sectors with that effect flash together, whereas sectors using the the non-synchronized versions will each have their blinking cycle start at a randomized time, for variety.

The synchronized effects can be particularly useful if you've split an area into multiple sectors but want them all to blink uniformly.

You are most correct, sir. The sectors will blink together.
