I just tried to save a wad I was working on and DB is complaining that the file is either in use by another program or isn't there, when, of course everything is fine. Wtf?

Is DB the only program open? Check your Processes in Task Manager. Try ending Windows Explorer (as long as you know how to get it back lol).

It's only with the one level. Other levels are fine. Not sure why it's doing this, but no DB is not the only program running, but it IS the only program working with the file in question.

1. press F4 to analyze the map
or
2. open Builder.log and read if anything is untoward.
or
3. make pwad available for download to be scrutinized.

Make a copy, delete the old one, see if it works.

Try to disable your anti virus program.

I just had this problem. Turns out timidity had crashed the last time I tested my WAD, but I had no idea, and it was still running somehow and using my WAD. So I killed timidity.exe in process control and that fixed it.
