DeePSea-help required!

If an editor allows you to enter the linedef number directly (for example 281 for solid 3d floor) as well as choosing a "known" one from a menu you should have no problems.

As to node builders the external one Zennode http://www.mrousseau.org/programs/ZenNode/ is quite good for Legacy levels. Also there is BSP, GLBSP. Although all these run from the command line.

DeepSea & WadAuthor are both windows programs so no DOS required =).
You can order DeepSea using off the net for $30 works out around £19 from http://www.sbsoftware.com/
WadAuthor you can get from http://www.teamdeim.com/wadauth/index.html not sure how much it costs to get the full version.

And because doomcad does not have a group save option for textures, how can I avoid losing them?

You can export all the non-level data into a separate PWAD.

So what you do is press F7 and select Export:

1. check "External Files Only"
2. check "Grouping"
3. press "select ALL
4. press the "WAD" button, choose a new file name and all your stuff is now in a separate PWAD. You can use this PWAD as a file in addition to your level when testing, etc.

You can recombine using F7 import when you are ready to release. There are not limits to either of these tools.

Or can anyone tell me how to get hold of Full Deepsea?

www.sbsoftware.com - we will email for $29 -IF- your inbox can receive a 1MB attachment. There's a special page for that - so email us to confirm and get the page. This is not listed as an option, since I don't want to discover after the fact that a person can't receive the file. No HOTMAIL for example.

Interestingly, LEGACY burps bigtime with GLBSP on large levels and tends to favor Zennode. And if you run JDOOM, the reverse is true. The other thing to remember about GLBSP is to always clean up your level from any unused SECTORS, or else it may abort.

DeePbsp is normally fine for most ports, except those that require GLBSP. The new DeePsea tools will have prebuilt setups to run GLBSP or ZENNODE directly without exiting -fixing a small typo made.
