Annotations and commentary in GZDB.

Most word processors let you mark up the body of the text with comments, which can be pretty useful. 

Is there an elegant way to do this in GZDB? Using things in UDMF mode would be quite cumbersome -- stuff like that doesn't count (I don't work in UDMF mode anyway). A plug-in with this functionality would be pretty cool. Sometimes I want to leave notes to myself that are actually convenient (having to use separate sheets of paper is inconvenient).
