It's growing on me a bit, although the interface feels rather unwieldy. But if that's what roguelikes are supposed to be, who am I to judge? At least the keys can be changed.

Actually, at the height of roguelikes' popularity, there would occasionally be contests to see who could beat the game in the fewest moves starting from a given savefile.  (I forget whether it was Moria or Angband.)
