How do I get on deathmatch?

I've been trying to get on network deathmatch and I still don't understand how to get on. If I choose a level to play in deathmatch what are the chances someone else will have the same level? And how long do I have to wait online before someone answers? I keep dialing in and no one answers.

What you need are zdaemon csdoom and internet doom explorer throw them all into folder that contains doom2( you do have Doom2? and run internet doom explorer, that shows you what wads/levels are running, join id it's just a level, if it's awad you may need to get the wad, if person running server has set path to wad, highlight server and press W that will take you to download it
