Apparently, if you spend a very long time before exiting a level, the stats screen will display your time as "sucks", what is seen here: http://www.eeggs.com/images/items/3843.full.jpg

Has anyone had the pleasure/misfortune of seeing and confirming this?

If the time taken exceeds 59:59 (i.e. it is one hour or more), TIME SUCKS is displayed instead. Many source ports, however, can display longer times, and some (such as PrBoom) also display the cumulative time for all levels completed.



I think you can change it via mapinfo for each level if you wish.

I think I legitimately got this only once, while playing ZDCMP. Surprised the hell out of me at the time.

I get a "403: Forbidden" HTTP error trying to load this image. But I can imagine how it looks, I know the patch.

I only got it once while debugging Mocha Doom (testing the endlevel screen separately) and setting the various values to something arbitrarily high ;-)

I would have gotten it in Community Chest 3 MAP12 if I wasn't using Zandronum. Took us about an hour and a half.

My par time for Warpzone (before Belial arduously tested it several times) was over an hour, so you'd realistically see:

TIME: SUCKS PAR: SUCKS

On completing the map IIRC. Fortunately, Belial got me to speed up game play and unclog the map a bit. It's still kind of crap though, so I won't link it :P

I got time sucks while testing MAP19 of D2INO.
Even when I roughly knew the way, it took me 50 minutes on ITYTD. I expect when the megawad is released, time sucks will go up 100%

"I Sawed the Demons" (E2M1) and "Deep Into the Code" (E3M3) aren't covered in the SNES version.

Wow, how did I never notice this? I mean, I'm pretty sure I'd noticed the lack of D_VICTOR and D_BUNNY, but not those two, somehow.

Certainly a result of the "Brutal DOOM" mod for (G)ZDoom...

Gosh, "Brtal DOOM" uses "Heavy Metal Umlauts", not knowing that german umlauts make the sound softer instead of harder...

HEY EVERYBODY! Look what I've just found out about Doom:

Before Doom was made someone from ID Software said that the game should have a story then other one said that "Doom with a story would be like a pornographic movie with a story" then the other was dismissed. Damned that sexual perverted who compared doom to porno! He even likes to get rockets on his face at the final level of Doom 2. You know who I'm talking about!

What about making a mod that changes rockets to penis sprites? Then fire to the "final boss" at map30 of Doom 2. I WOULD LAUGH AT HIS UGLY FACE!!!

Exactly; for andnd , try to squeeze your lips to a small hole (like whistling or kissing) while talking; is different, slightly obscenely presenting your tongue.

is easy, just like in "care"; sounds like in "burn"; is quite hard to explain, short like in "typical", but long even more like whistling...

"Mtley Cre" was quite confused about their german fans, shouting their name with strange high-pitched sounds.

doom 2 has two maps with bugs , map19 and 30

19 has unconnected sectors and 30 has a random line
