Never really played Quake II outside of the demo, and just learned of Quake 4's existence.

For me it'd be something like this:

Doom shareware (just Knee-Deep in the Dead on its own)
Doom 64
Thy Flesh Consumed
Doom 2
Plutonia
Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil
Registered Doom episodes (just E2/E3)
Doom 3
Evilution

I split the first game into three parts, because I'd go nuts trying to fit it into the list as a single entity. On one hand, I love the level design in E1 (and some of E4), and I think the first game is presented better and more interestingly than Doom 2 is (taking into account things like the intermission screens, the background story, general progression, secret maps, and so on). But on the other hand, E2 and E3 are almost entirely composed of my least favorite maps outside of TNT and Doom II's "city" episode, so yeah, I'm hopelessly conflicted. D:

Doom 64 gets extra points for being such an oddity, while Doom 3 loses some points for not being as replayable as the earlier games, though it doesn't seem right to rank it so lowly, since it's hard to compare fairly with the classics. I was tempted to put the XBLA episode in as well, but I'm not sure where I'd rank it, somewhere between Doom 64 and Plutonia.

I won't even attempt to order the Quake series other than to say that I like Quake over Quake 2, and the Quake 3/Quake Live thing is focused too much on "competitive play" for my interest.

1. Doom (E1-3), in vanilla or similar flavors
2. Jaguar Doom (assuming Dragonbrethren's TC is accurate)
3. everything else

Don't really care about Quake anymore, even though I played it like crazy in the late 90's.

A year ago or so I'd have put the original Quake near the very bottom of the list, but now that I have replayed the whole thing on a modern computer, I have to admit it's doing a lot more for me than it did back in the day. Even plain WinQuake at 320x200 with +mlook, d_mipscale 0, showram 0 and crosshair 1 turned out to be quite exciting, and while it's still not Doom, I can now see what the fuss was all about.
