Hi guys, I found this Dutch song called "Tante lien" from "De jeugd van tegenwoordig"
I instantly recognised the music from the song, it reminded me of the old Doom music, anyone who can help me find which song (or pointing out my wrong) ;)

cheers!

I love Doom <3

And who knows, maybe I'm wrong. But that's extremely unlikely because I'm always right.

It doesn't sound like any one song in particular, but it sounds close to the progressive format that almost every song in Doom uses, I forget what it's called.

I don't write music or anything so my text might be difficult to interpret but the song Sinister is a good example of the format in action.

code:
---------------------------b ------------abab----------a- abababababab----abab-b-b-b-- --------------------a-a-a---

Sounds like Doom's way of music.
40's suggestion seems the most logical.

There's extremely common progressions in pop and rock music and I think that's what you're hearing. They're progressions that "just work" from a theory standpoint. I couldn't tell you the chords because I don't know enough theory, but you get the idea. Most all Doom music is based on these simple chord progressions.

Rammstein's Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flamen Sehen? samples doomguy's dead Growl. even though the album it featured on is from 1995.

Many of Doom's sounds are from Sound Ideas' General series sound effects library.
