I don't know what's wrong, but it seems that any Doom game using the ZDoom soucreport(including multiplayer programs)seem to have any messages slightly cut off at the top. Communicating is almost impossible this way! It worked before, nothing changed.

Are you using the wrong aspect ratio?

What resolution are you playing at, and what is your monitor's native resolution?

And like Eris said, check your aspect:ratio. In-game: Options > Set Video Mode > Force Aspect Ratio > (tinker with this until it looks right again).

It's also possible your video card's GPU image scaling is futzing with ZDoom.

Look at the top of the page under the banner. There it says: Doomworld Forums > Classic Doom > Source Ports > Zdoom...

That means it is in the source ports section of classic doom :)
