Nope.

While Demons Will Be Misjudged ("You Mr.Obvious Murder, have been found innocent of "murder" by us, the Peoples Republic of Whatever").
Gamma Suffering (Gamma Correction gone wrong)
5th Mine (fail at Minesweeper)
After Tortured Hearts Are Resurrected (...nothing happens. Disappointing, isn't it?)
Inside The Altar (...is the angel of death, you stupid Nazis [Raiders of the Lost Ark]) *ark of the covanent and alters aren't the same things...*
Before Dismal Spectres Can Be Purified (...)
The Malevolent Bunker (Horror themed WWI game?)
Inside The Old Plant (Keep running while I debate your existence with you [PM me if you really want to know...])
Asteroid For Doraphobia (...no comment...)
The Cleric's Church (obviously not going to be a Doom wad anytime soon)
Shielded Grinder To Spiders (makes no sense grammatically)
Where Fools Were Remade (makes no sense logically)
Worshipped Spine (makes no sense at all)
Painful The Forgotten (NamesToAvoidReallyFast)
Spawned Powerplant Of The Risen (AHHHHHHHHH!)

You could always go the Bungie route and just use random weird names that MAYBE reference something in the map, like "Never Burn Money" or "No Artificial Colors" or "Beware of Abandoned Rentral Trucks."

Or you can go the BTSX way and have map names that contextually make no sense.

Unfortunately I have no shortage of profound mapname ideas, but few finished maps to use them in.

I could probably make a huge list of names of MAP01's for megawads in the vein of SODfinal's "First Blood" or HR2final's "Ignition!" as well as Dead Simple remakes, MAP30's, ExM8's, and a bunch for gimmick maps too.

the dead end

After all these years, I finally understand what "The Living End" means. Joke was on me I guess...

Most of these are silly. The best ones are these which limit themselves to two words at a time:

Leviathan's Compound
Weather Discord
The Black Anomaly
The Fumes Dispelled
Observatory of Dagon
Inside the Waystation
Damned Descent
Paradoxic Time
Zombie's Compound
Misjudged Facility
Demonic Infinity
Seeker's Dens
Bloody Mesa
- a Half-Life referencing level?

Most are just plain weird though.

While Angels Were Wasted
"*hic* Shshsay, Gabe... now that I think abouchit... didja remember to lock the gate from Hell? *hic*"
"I dunno, Mike... Mebbe... *hic*"

Dump of Carmack
...I don't want to know...

Incidentally, the list includes a typo ("sattelite").

I'm not sure - I'd assumed it was simply a play on the standard US-English idiom.

Cool. I'm not US, so I've never heard of it. It's funny though to think of "living end" to be the opposite of a "dead end".

The name always sounded to me a bit ominous because it contains the word "end" and it implied to me that there are living monsters that contribute to that said end.

Yeah me neither - I was unaware of its idiomatic use until it turned up in a Simpsons episode (Homer's Phobia) :)

It was mostly popular in the 1960s and 1970s. I only know it because I used to read Archie comic compilations when I was a kid.

That's what I always thought, too. As someone from the US, I hadn't heard the actual expression until just now. I guess it was before my time, though.
