Correct. Unless I'm missing something quite obvious here, you will have to take crushing damage once or twice to get back out of that hallway.

Shouldn't be much of a concern. There's a green armor you can pick up en route to the crushers. You can also wait on taking that berserk secret until you go there so you'll most likely have max health or close to it making the return trip.

If that goes sour, the final secret there has a Soulsphere if you examine the wall behind that rocket pickup.

i saw some Whispers of Satan demos from TendaMonsta on DSDA, so i decided to share the mess i'd recorded, too. all UV-speed as usual.

map01 in 0:50
map02 in 1:20
map04 in 1:42
map12 in 1:38
map15 secret exit in 1:00

not much quality in it, but i wasn't very motivated to continue improving. the rest of WOS seems unfriendly to speeds.

More UV-Max action on Hell Ground from me. This time for map 1. Time comes to 5:58. Despite some slip ups and coming close to death at the RK, I hit my target time of under 6 minutes.

Could still see this going ~5 seconds or so lower with enough patience.

impressive demo, okuplok. this strong but safe style is very enjoyable to watch. especially that monster micro herding inbetween ssg shots. a shame there was no rl... and i had to smile a bit when your plasma kinda sucked just before the end. :)

For reality, might be possible to release both inner 8x vile groups right at the beginning while you have the invulnerability (plus maybe some cybers to infight them easier) before hiding in the stairs. That was very close though.

Did a UV-Max for map 7 of Joshy's Imperfection Has Its Charms. Time for the run is 9:56. Could still be improved some, but for now under 10 minutes is pretty nice.

It looks like Ruinbros' MAP03 won't give up that easily... I made an update, but it's still an invalid UV Max: one resurrected monster made up for 100% kills. Argh

Edit: Now it should be OK. At last! As for MAP03, the old entry is present (8:40), I have thrown away the 8:23 demo with fake 100% kills and replaced it with another demo, one second faster. It's ugly but this great level will be waiting for better players for improvements anyway...

Well, just in time for Doom's 16th birthday, here is a new Fiffy demo. Well, I could've picked worse, I suppose. :P It's less than half as long as the WAD's previous UV max demo, at least!

I really like this map. At first glance, seeing this much ammo and health feels completely ridiculous, but you've done a fantastic job at making it fun and challenging.

The overabundance of supplies is also great to let PRBoom newbies like me try their hand at recording... ;)
