wow, this has been quiet for while :)

Bruno told me he hurt his hand a week ago, I hope you recover well and soon :)

To restart the activity I promise I will try to make a demo tomorrow. I aint got much time but e3m1 isnt so hard.

I guess it's time to submit something here, it's been a long while since somebody submitted a demo. I guess the lack of a decent port may be the main problem ...

Unfortunately Bruno is out for an "undetermined" period, he's gotten addicted to a brazilian MMORPG :)

I felt like playing some maps tonight ...

e2m1 in 1:24
e3m9 in 5:43
e6m1 in 5:10

Edit: I heard that the next Dosbox (0.66rc3) has much better performances. It is apparently able to run blood, doom and duke flawlessly. According to the developpers, on an amd64 3200+ it emulates the equivalent of a p2-233. Good news for us doomers, we may finally get a decent dos emulator for winXP...

I have always been scared of e4m9, and was real happy when Wilou 'offered' to do it for the SmiteMeister demopack :)

I decided to try it on skill 5, finding a tactic took me a little while as this map is full of free roaming monsters and a few iron liches which are real annoying in skill 5.

Ok, time to up this topic... H5F5 done in 23:55

This level was a real pain...I enjoy the gameplay and the look of this map, but the downside is that you are always under fire in skill5 :)
My demo is really ugly so I'll try to improve it before the end of my holidays...

And as my studies are now harder and require about all my time, I won't do heretic demos for a while.
EDIT : after speaking to Vincent... Maybe I'll pick another one :)

well done man, that is one of the few remaining hard maps.

I thought this demopack was dead :)

On a side note, Squonk recently finished ultimate doom ep1 in nightmare speed. It's quite rare enough to be mentionned.

I'm currently talking to JC, he'll do some demos for the pack.

EDIT : JC will do H2F5. Book the map please :)

I'll try to do an easy map, one of the second ep I think. But it'll be the last from me for a while. For the few free time I have, I prefer working on doom... Sorry Vincent
And I had to write english txts for your collection, too... Too much work :p
