Are there any speed demos of people beating E3M8 on nightmare starting at the level from scratch? I made a demo, but I died about 20 times before I finally beat it. So it's a rather long demo to sit through to see me win, although after ran out of plasma, I killed the spiderdemon with one pistol shot. Is it possible to edit demos? I recorded it using zdoom 2.20

I don't believe there is. I'm pretty sure that demos have some type of variable that indicates that it is in its original form and so the demo will get screwed up if you mess with it in an editor. I think they were set up this way to prevent people from fabricating demos for competitions and such-like.

I'm not 100% sure on this so someone should probably verify this though. =S

Yeah, there are demos at COMPET-N, and there should be some more in other places (such as PDANG). I'm not sure if there are any tool-assisted demos of E3M8 in NM.

I think E3M8 is easier on NM than on UV, because the double ammo give you enough cells to kill the Spider in a little amount of time.

Yes, I agree. On UV, you have to run around the perimeter collecting plasma and rockets. On NM all I had to do was grab the RL and maybe 1 rocket, unload those 6 rockets into the spidey, grab the mega armor and plasma, grab the one cell on the other side, and then finish him off by strafe circling him to keep him unable to fire back at me much. I ran out of plasma and with one pistol shot he was dead. :D
