I always wondered if there is a complete list of all demos used in official id IWADs, including the shareware one, and also whether they were always different between versions or some were retained across several revisions.
Not 100% sure, but I think they were new for every version, since they would desynch otherwise. But I suppose it's possible there were some insignificant version changes where they just forgot or didn't bother.
Coincidentally, this playlist may be of interest. I think I got them all. They didn't always bother to change the demos for each release, but counting them all up there's quite a few.
