In the FWIW Department: Most .lmp files from ClassicDOOM.com are now available in video form at the ClassicDOOM YouTube Channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/ClassicDOOM).

You need more subscribers because you have some of the most interesting Doom videos on youtube. Thank you for taking the time out to upload all of these videos for people to enjoy.

Your .lmp conversions also look really nice on youtube.

May I ask how you convert these .lmp demos with such quality.

Thanks for the kind words. :)

With help and advice from Never_Again, I used GlBoom (packaged with PrBoom Plus) to play back the demos, and recorded the output with Fraps.
I tweaked the settings in GlBoom to make it look fairly old-school, crisp and blocky. The biggest change is that I've got it running at 960x720, versus the original PC-game res of 320x200... Though YouTube's mandatory compression still muddies-up the final product a bit. :/
Anyway, Fraps saves the output in .avi format, breaking long demos into 4GB chunks. To edit and/or assemble .avi files, I used VirtualDub.

Wow...I use the same applications. I think I need to mess around with the compressions and codecs to get the quality I want. My computer cannot handle OpenGL and FRAPS at the same time for whatever reason and the computer is fairly new.

Thank you for the information, and I hope to see more .lmp conversions for youtube.

One last quick question...What codec do you use when compressing your videos?
