great. i like those long runs, whenever i have free time to watch them. simply because it's hard to do something consistently for over half an hour and not screw up. how you kept dodging that revenant's attacks on the bridge like in bullet time. i didn't think this map is possible in tyson.

Interesting, I never even really got around to taking a look at 23 in contrast to almost every other undone PT plus obviously what have been done in the recent years by me and others.
I will follow my statement of not saying what is impossible, but throwing out a quick guess it certainly seems like 23 being the most doable. 26 would have been on my list but vdgg covered that.

I prefer longer runs too as having to shave off a second or two from some UV speed run is really not what I like spending my Dooming time on. :)
Then again, I already spot some little mistakes in the run that annoy the crap out of me and make me want to redo it completely. Would have been nice to see how vdgg (or anyone else) approached the level.

2:38 is the record. Keep in mind that it's very unlikely to get real 100% kills if played legally, without kill/secret HUD.

Plutonia ep1 in 10:29 uv speed.
My first exit on this category which was... surprisingly easy.
I don't know of any non-tas plutonia speed movies other than the compet-n ones vile did over ten years ago so I started working on this as a proof of concept for a more modern route. Mostly posting this in hopes of getting people interested in 30pl stuff but somehow I can't see that happening just because of how massive undertaking a run like that is. Still, it's something I'd love to see.

I've wanted to see that too, actually. I'm surprised that the 30pl and 30ev runs are untouched. I might have tried going after them myself given the proper motivation but I can't seem to find it, so I suppose that's hypocritical of me.

Nice to see you still hang around here :) Pretty off topic but that 29:56 nightmare run was the first doom speedrun I saw. Can't really blame anyone for not wanting to run plutonia, a lot of the levels have a pretty high "fuck you"-factor, in first ep I guess mostly 4. Unless there's some magic trick for keeping the corridors clear of that baron army.

Regarding times: With that route, I've got first level down to 34, but if you're super manly and skip the armor you can get over ten seconds faster than that. That makes map02 very nasty though. Map08 is doable in around 30 seconds even in a movie, especially if you use cack_handeds method for the glide. It requires playing without novert though so at least I can't use it. Details for that are in his pn08-019 run. Map09 went actually reasonably fast other than the obvious mistake at the elevator but even there around 10 seconds can be saved. Then there's some smaller stuff like glitching through the fence in map07 but I don't know how consistent that is, not that it saves that much time anyway. Below 8:30 is definetly possible if someone can get good times in the gimmick levels and match viles times in the rest.
