Hmm, well i'm down to 8:14 now, this run, my computer started to lag for no reason from the red key door onwards. I keep going faster and faster but can't make one run without a mistake. I've had a few run where a zombie shoots the switch, but those cacos, they can go anywhere, literally. I just want them to group up in the red key area so they can be mopped up easily. Rarely happens.

That was a cool movie, but a bigger mistake was IMO forgetting about a secret with BA and 15 rockets in E1M7.

Yeah, I didn't know about some important secrets because I was too lazy to learn all maps. Generally, I don't spend enough time on my demos. When I start working on a demo, I can't get it out of my head until I'm done with it. It is hard for me to stop and get back to it later. So most of my demos are done in less than one day.

This record will not last a week (I think)

Don't expect new record from me, right now I'm concentrated on mapping. (I have 3 projects: space/night episode for Ultimate Doom, a big map in Death Tormention style, and a little Requiem tribute)

E1M4 Respawn in 4:38. For some reason I vaguely remember someone doing this but was unable to find the demo, so I'm probably thinking of something else.

So if I were to record an episode 2 max run, would it be considered more complete to play from e2m1 to e2m8, bypassing the secret level, or to take the secret exit in e2m4 (which causes the player to skip e2m5)?

AFAIK e2m4 secret exit doesn't work in vanilla compatible ports (it takes you to e2m5).

Follow Didier's way. Let's forget about E5M1 or whatever (well, at least that's what I'd like to watch). E2M1 - M2 - M3 - M4 - M5 - M9 - M6 - M7 - M8. BTW, this question surprised me, I had to check something, as it never occured to me before :) Didier's levelstat up to E2M7:

Well just to say I ignored the "not recommended viewing" remark and I found last night's demos very interesting. E1M3 Tyson is simply brilliant, escaping the army of imps twice was amazing. I believe it would take me a week to beat this map, you did it in 1/2 hour? In E1M2 Tyson I anticipated how you'd kill 2 spectres in lava, out manoeuvring them was the highlight. Then Respawn - it is a neglected category, but not lame... depends on a map, of course. I tried E1M4 (and E1M7, heh) on skill 5 before. In E1M4 I got the yellow key once (died on the way to RK&chaingun), the beginning is very tough. Respawn is a lighter version of NM100 for me on E1M4, yet still not easy.

Thank you for the nice comments vdgg, yes a1d3t2007 was done in a bit over 30 minutes. As for a1d2t, I tried that one a couple weeks ago for about 30 minutes without success and today returned to record a1d2t1825 in one attempt.

Here's my latest tyson, E1M4 in 20:10. This one took me over an hour. Although it was much harder, I think it will also be more boring to watch than the others.
