So, long story short, we settled on doing a demo bunch for pc_cp.

Goal is to get each map a speedrun in uv-max category that would be shown as the fastest in dsda tables. Any other optional demos of any category are very welcome, but it's not a primary goal to get each map a speedrun in different category than max. Everybody is very encouraged to contribute. It's a boom wad, so the most preferable port would be prboom-plus with complevel parameter set to 9. Post all your achievements here, in this thread.

I actually have two UV Max demos which I had for quite a while, but never got around to releasing. They are Map 15 and 30 UV Max in 6:58 and 5:14, respectively.

pc is plutonia coop, maybe we should use different naming? Like du (Doom 2 Unleashed)

Also note that to play maps36-40 in prboom-plus you need to use -nomusic key.

Cool, nice it's setting off already.
Also, you needn't to add textfiles, there will be one final for contributors to fill out.

E: Also, if there is pc already in use, it needn't change IMHO. There is also et for both eternal and evilution tyson and nobody said a thing.

Thanks and done. I planned to do it laters when things got somewhat stable. Oh, and by all means, if there is a desire to record a map that's already been done, there's no restriction for that whatsoever - besides doing it faster than current fastest demo, obviously.

ehi j4, i never even downloaded this wad yet, can you advice me a couple of (undone eventually) maps I could invest some time in?
else i just try a few randomly, but no idea how good quality they'll be before all maps will be covered (tnt-demopack style you were too fast ;PPP )
edit: ill be checking maps 33-40 first.

I gave a quick try at map05 in 2:18. Will definitery improve it (it's the first successful exit that follows a 5 minutes route planning, and it's *very* ugly).

I have a compatibility question to ask... Here is my command line for this demo : 
code:
glboom -complevel 9 -iwad doom2.Wad -file PC_CP.wad pccpmus.wad -warp 05 -record blah -skill 4

Recording with prboom 2.4.7 (I know, I'm a lazy bum who did not update for three years, and I should probably record with prboom-plus anyway)

So I can play back the demo correctly on prboom, but it desynch on the latest version of prboom-plus. Can someone explain me where is my mistake?

I'm as clueless about it as you to be honest. I can tell only as far as that map 1 is terrible for speedrun. It's a community-ish thing so it should be up your alley.

Most likely outdated port, as command line seems to be correctly set. Not sure if there's different complevel required to be forced to properly playback prboom demos on prb+. Oh, and there's a 2:02 demo already.

I know, but before trying hard(er) to get a good demo, I'd rather be sure that the problem is not in how I record. Let's wait for the demo experts then ;)

They seem to work fine for me in the UI, but I'm using the Mac version, so it could be different from the PC version.

@memfis: map11 is cool yea, but at my first playing i was very confused about how non linear it is. It will take a while
