What's a big deal about that demo being leaked. So what, its a demo anyway, demos are free, they are always free. Its not like ID is going to lose money because of that. They were probably going to release a demo in the future so who cares if someone did that for them. Its not like someone stole the whole game and offered it for free. For example I've downloaded that demo already but I am still going to BUY the game when it comes out. So I do not think it is a bad thing to play that demo now.
1) it is an alpha
2) they didn't WANT it released yet
3) if you think about it, they may indeed lose money over this
4) because they didn't want it released it is considered warez and therefore, illegal.
