Through the dredges of doom news and fake ebay auction invoices, this little bit fell through the cracks. Jon Dowland did his best to report that Freedoom was updated to 0.4.1. What's new? Apparently there was a small texture goof that went unnoticed but has been quickly rectified. Go play Doom the free way.

Have they fixed the fact that half their weapons originate from the bottom right corner, making them impossible to aim without a crosshair?

They should either all origioate from the bottom or all origionate from the corner. Having it from both is stupid and inconsistant.

He's right; side-placed weapons have no place on classic engines (who aims diagonally anyway?), and this was made to be compatible with Boom and PrBoom... or any engine (even bare Doom2) using a PWAD.
