Odamex version 0.2 alpha has just been released. This version fixes a bunch of issues that were in the first release, and has improved support for more platforms. Also, Internet Doom Explorer 4.01 now supports Odamex.

I've just played it for a little bit in Map01. And from what I can see, it's a great step up from the last version. Doomguy is still tripping on acid it seems, and there's bugs involving his appearance. But from the little look I had just now, that's all I really could notice that were missing.

Yes it runs on vista and many other tested platforms! From the wiki:

System Independence, meaning it can run on:

* Windows 95, 98, ME(?), NT(?), 2K, XP, Vista
* Linux (x86, ppc, amd64)
* MacOSX
* BSD
* Sun Solaris
* Possibly more...if it can run SDL it might run Odamex!
