Nothing to be picky for this time. They look better than the previous ones and they aren't tiny at all.
I hope the monsters are placed efficiently.
Edit: that PDA thing in the first picture makes me wonder how could they make it.

The shareware's only difference is that you aren't allowed to make a wad that does this:

doom1 -file whatever.wad
The shareware's levels are under id's copyright just like all the others; that you can download them for free doesn't make them public domain or anything like that.

As for those rejections; yes, wads can get rejected for being mere id level hacks. Is KDiZD that? It doesn't seem so by the screen shots and the description. In any case Ty has to verify it to judge, and that's going to happen only once it's released.

Apart from the basic layout there isn't much left of the originals so imo this is brand new stuff and I can't see any reason why this project should be rejected oh wait this has probably been said allready.

At least the quantity and quality of new maps has declined drastically over the last few months. I can't remember many good releases this year.

Most of the big releases come out around August - October. I've done the Cacowards for a while now and the big releases always come out in the summer or later in the year. I say the same thing to myself every year "There are no good releases" but take a look at every year I've done it, there has been at least 2 big project released. Quality and Quantity delining? Probably not, it has been stagnant for about 5 years.

Last year you awarded 3 WADs that were released in the first week of January so this is hardly true...

Anyway, my list of 2007 WADs that is worth keeping is definitely much shorter than any other year at the same time.

Let's hope KDiZD won't be Daikatana Two or Doom 3 Two. Whatever might have been Daikatana or Doom 3, though I recall they got low ratings because of unwanted and unscheduled delays.

Like donating money to an website is going to stop an community from going downhill, doom is an old game and has alot of competition from newer games I guess the community will get smaller each year.

But we still have alot of large projects to look forward to like this one, you gotta have an special thing with doom to keep interested in it.

I somehow doubt that there are many people here that would abandon Doom for more modern games. Those most likely have left years ago.

Hello, someone summoned me into this thread while I've been trying to stay away from it!

I've been pretty vocal in the past about not being interested in playing rehashed maps and I don't want to repeat myself again about that.

About the whole copyright crap, while I agree with myk, Scuba is right in nobody important giving a shit.
