No, Graf was just waiting until ZDoom had another official release.

And still no support to get a mouse cursor for creating a ss2 style inventory system. :-(

I take back what I said about Zdoom being stable--- ACS stability has really gone down the tubes. I've heard stories of ACS scripts deciding whether they want to work or not, and then I've heard of some ACS scripts that the compiler compiles, but the interpreter now ignores.

You heard? Most certainly from people who don't know what they talking about because it's definitely utter bullshit.

Such stories really ought to be shared directly with the ZDoom developers via the ZDoom bugs forum, rather than with random people on IRC/IM/whatever.

I haven't played any old wads that broke with the 2.2.0 release. In fact, good news, you can now play Action Doom again since this release fixed the bug that allowed you to die by the explosions at the end of map 3 in the last release.

A certain project that must not be named that I am testing takes ZDoom 2.2.0's ACS interpreter and drags it on the ground, beats it up and takes its lunch money. Apparently ACS has a limit. And... when that limit is met, the Interpreter stops working. Things start to break, a memory leak occurs, and the thing crashes and takes 100% CPU , forcing me to kill the task.

It's happened once already, I'll let you know if it happens again. Note that I'm not getting any error dumps or anything of the sort, Zdoom just locks and dies.

A certain project that must not be named?

Sorry, pal, but that's useless information. Either provide us with useful information to fix the problem or don't spill such irresponsible stuff.

However, my guess would be that the script in your great project is buggy - as has been the case in each and every case where ACS started acting up like this. But since I can't investigate because all I get is your 'information' in this thread there's nobody that can help you with it - so please don't complain!

You
pm me about this 'problem' PLEASE.

edit: This isn't top-secret so refering cif3 as 'certain project that must not be named' is meaningless.

My idea for "fixing" this:
Give an option that mappers can set that activates some kind of deadlock detection.
I would do that like the AVR microcontrollers do it, if you dont call some routine regulary the script gets kicked, the AVR would just reset.
