Yeah, I downloaded Doom 64 to review it too but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I really can't believe how much crap Nixot is getting from some people. I liked his map. I think the caco fight was perfect with the chaingun and without the green sphere.

You're forgetting that Doom is no joking matter. To have a poorly designed exit is bad enough - almost a capital offence - compounding the felony by trying to make light of it, that's like throwing a bucket of napalm on a barbeque. ;-)

That's just human nature. Ask someone how they are and you either get a massive torrent of "WELL, first I woke up late then it got worse, get a load of this..." or just "Yeah good". The worse something is, the more people generally have to say about it.

It's a short matter of time before it expires, really. I downloaded Doom 64 Absolution TC so I could review that wad, but when I loaded Temple Ruins, I realized I have to finish Absolution first. Reason: I can't tell right now what's added and not, and I don't want to make a half-assed review.

Your responses are hilariously overreactive. Your overall insane amount of snottiness never ceases to amuse me. All I did was decide to have a bit of fun, and a select few have decided to put on a full poker face and try to appear more mature than everybody by saying it's not funny and that I'm really immature and that I should grow up and stop being such a baby.

I think you're being just as immature by coming down on me like a ton of bricks over something as trivial as a few clues as to where the exit is (as, it seems, all of you who are criticising me missed it) so you can appear "sensible" and maybe get a gold star from the teacher. I think it's you who needs to grow up.

Doom is nowhere near that serious. To be honest, even the people who made it were having fun when they did. There was no "no-nonsense" attitude, otherwise we wouldn't have been blessed with John Romero's head behind the Icon of Sin. Do you see that as an immature prank?

I find it hilariously overdramatic that you think I'm a stupid childish idiot because I didn't treat the absence of a tag 11 switch as the end of the world like some of you did. At the end of the day, all I did was make a small joke to perhaps generate some laughs and instead got some scowls from some really, really prude people. I appreciate the people saying it was just a small joke, and indeed it was. I am not in any way trying to make people annoyed, but somehow it happened. I think those people should really sort themselves out if they don't get such an obvious joke.

I agree with Nixon on this, as much as i love Doom its still just a video game and people should not treat it with so much seriousness that it becomes impossible too have any kind of none-serious conversation about the game with other members on the forums.
