I've started fecking about in the editor to test things, but it's a big change and takes some getting used to. The linetypes are almost completely different. 3D water is now linetype 121, which in Doom is W1 lift (turbo), but on the plus side it has a wavey effect like that olde-style Legacy software water that everyone used to love. Took me a while to find it though, it's a little checkbox called "Effect 5", which isn't exactly descriptive.
Anyways, I might create a project thread in WADs and Mods at some point, depending on how the experimenting goes and whether or not I can make something half decent. If anyone's thinking about joining, it's probably best to start playing around with it now, just because it's so... different.

There's a SRB2 wiki here which has an article with some tutorials. The editor is here, but delete the srb2ex.cfg and get this updated version.
