Lots of people do the 10 as 'everything is great', I even used too as well... but it became outdated quick. I think I probably got my new mindframe from university, because they work us so hard here that if you get an A+ you are a machine from the other planet. A 'perfect' score ends up meaning something, or at least has some value.
Also what do you mean "I don't divide it along lines like, "Doom-like and non doom-like"? Did I say that anywhere, if so I'm confused-- can you clarify?
Lastly, remember these are both our own subjective opinions. Neither of us is right over one or the other. Gotta love subjective viewpoints! =]
