Version 1.2 of WadC - the Doom level functional programming language - has been released. This version adds support for textured linedefs, impassable linedefs, and Boom friendly monsters. Maintenance has changed hands from Wouter "Aardappel" van Oortmerssen to Jon Dowland. You can find out more and fetch the source and binaries at the website.

I started a tutorial but never finished it. I have an idea in mind I'd like to explore so I might write a tutorial at the same time as exploring the idea.

I hope this encourages more WadC use. Perhaps a community project is in order? Also, your name is very similar to this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dowland

there was one a while ago, but it didn't go anywhere.

Indeed, I'm a distant relation of him (albeit not by blood due to adoption in my family tree)

32in24 (as a source code release) anyone? That'd be a circus.

I must have another play with this, and maybe come up with something original this time around.
