As I posted in the other thread, I was curious about the lack of a reactiontime in things.edf. Today I checked the docs and saw it is available. Checking the EDF again in case I missed something, I saw that only the player thing has reactiontime of 0 set. No other thing has it. Was this deliberate?

All things defined in Doom have the default value for reactiontime, which is IIRC 8. The utility I wrote to convert info.c into EDF was coded to omit all defaulted fields in order to save space and cut down on parser processing time and memory usage. Remember that any unspecified field in an EDF section takes on its default value. This allows minimal specification.
