My playerstart points north, but initializes east in Sekhmet. From what I can tell, this wasnt a problem in the previous version I was using (3.35.xx I think). FYI :)

Not enough info here. SVN version or release? What platform? Bittage of executable? Example wad that shows the problem?

Alright, I've narrowed it down a bit.

Release http://www.doomworld.com/vb/eternit...-37-00-sekhmet/ win32+ build. (running vista x64)
Error works with doom2.wad and it happens when you use the -warp command. Further idclev use after that shows correct orientation.

A better question is, does it happen with the mouse disabled? I think this is just the mouse centering causing a false mouse move event, which EE is still having problems with.

I put some code in from Chocolate Doom a long time ago that would supposedly fix this. Why is it still not fixed? I do not know. Evidently the code in question does not accomplish what it advertises.

It seems to be fixed in the latest SVN build, r1177. Crisis averted!
