After some hair-pulling, bug-stomping and slapping #DEFINEs around, Eternity Engine now compiles on MinGW! Dev-C++ is also supported. OpenGL doesn't work quite yet, though.

It's certainly a better way to run it on otherwise unsupported Windowses than trying to build via Visual Studio and then hex-hacking the EXE :P

It did in the past but this was not actively maintained due to lack of demand, so, there were various forms of bitrot - primarily, confusion/conflation of #define values and #ifdef guards around code that should have been either for ALL Windows compilers or specific only to MSVC.
