whenever I have the music turned on, Eterntiy randomly crashes whenever I move on to the next level.

is there a way to fix this?

Start with the command line -nomusic

Eternity uses Windows MCI for MIDI -- MCI is unfortunately unstable on many systems (depends mostly on your card, as each card comes with its own MCI MIDI driver).

For now, -nomusic is your best bet. The next version of Eternity is probably going to use SDL_mixer, which is not known to have these problems.
