The first time I noticed the STFOUCH graphic was when I was playing DOOM all the way through for the first time without cheats (yeah, I sucked back in those days). I had just started Episode 3, and right as I killed the last Imp, I hurled a rocket into wall right in front of me. At lightning speed I entered IDDQD and noticed that surprised face on the status bar! My only thought was, "WOW! I FOUND ANOTHER DOOM SECRET!" It also scared the living bejesus out of me at the same time.
