SuperSlammer2 Posted August 27, 2008 no, this isn\'t spam, I\'m just curious to see what you doomers have as ring tones on your cell phones (or mobiles, whatever). mine is a crappy midi of some mozart song. it sound\'s gay but it gets the job done I guess. 0 Share this post Link to post
scorpion Posted August 27, 2008 Old phone (Nokia N73), I alternated between that Blade tune (from the movie Blade, in the club's 'bloodbath' scene) and the first midi of DWANGO5.WAD. Now this phone is broken. 'New' phone (Nokia 3510i - temp!!!), Great Giana Sisters intro midi. 0 Share this post Link to post
Enjay Posted August 27, 2008 I have the intro from one of the songs on Kraftwerk's Computerwelt album (I forget which track - in fact, maybe it was off the man machine) edited so that it loops seamlessly if I don't pick-up instantly. Side question: Why do people with an mp3 capable 'phone still pay for ringtones? 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted August 27, 2008 I gots me one of em polyphonic ring signals. Reelly flashy stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post
Coraline Posted August 28, 2008 My KX5 has the Mortal Kombat movie theme. A lot of people freak when they hear it, lol, they're like "I REMEMBER THAT!!". Alternates to the Super Mario Super Show theme. A lot of people don't understand that one. The Ericsson has Ice Ice Baby and MJ/will.i.am. My i860 just has some Duke3d MIDI's on it (best is Alienz).. shitty phone. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bank Posted August 28, 2008 I have the Mercenaries 2 Commercial song as mine, it's so damn catchy! 0 Share this post Link to post

Technician Posted August 28, 2008 What ever the phone came with. I don't waste time customizing an object I don't care to even own. 0 Share this post Link to post
Prince of Darkness Posted August 28, 2008 J. Giles Band: Angel is Centerfold. It's so amazingly annoying, I have to have it. 0 Share this post Link to post
DeumReaper Posted August 28, 2008 I had doom_e1m1.mid (which sounds like the Doom RPG song) on my old phone, but I haven't looked for it for my new phone; it still has a generic verizon ringtone. Enjay said: Side question: Why do people with an mp3 capable 'phone still pay for ringtones? You live in the UK, right? My friend (who had a phone while we lived in Oxford) said that you could set any .mp3 transferred to your phone to a ringtone. But when I got a phone in the US I transferred a song to my Verizon-provided Motorola Razr (a common phone in the US) and could only use it on the media player. They made it you can't set those as ringtones so that you had to buy off their store. I tried to find a song-2-ringtone converter, but none of the ones I tried worked. 0 Share this post Link to post
Kyka Posted August 28, 2008 A friend sent me an MP3 of an old Frank Sinatra song which I have been using as a ringtone. "Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring.... Bananaphone Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring... Bananaphone I got this feelin' So appealing. For us to get together and sing. Sing!" Hmmm. Anyway, it sounds much better than it looks. I didn't have any problems setting it as a ringtone, though I'm in Australia, which may have something to do with it. 0 Share this post Link to post

AndrewB Posted August 28, 2008 I do have a portable phone that has ringtones but I use the default ringer. I'm sure that me being better than other people has something to do with that. 0 Share this post Link to post

Kid Airbag Posted August 28, 2008 I've had mine for about two years...Common - "Go" for calls and Bloc Party - "Pioneers" for texts. I should probably get something new but it's on vibrate 90% of the time anyway so it's not too important. 0 Share this post Link to post

leileilol Posted August 28, 2008 my ringtone goes 'beedlebeedlebeedle' if you have a problem with that then get a life 0 Share this post Link to post
Stupid Bunny Posted August 28, 2008 I have absolutely no urge to get any fancy ringtones for my phone, since I don't use it for much beyond what it's designed for. 0 Share this post Link to post
exp(x) Posted August 28, 2008 Stevie Ray Vaughan - Say What I did have Buddy Guy - 7-11, but it was too hard to hear in noisy environments. Enjay said:Side question: Why do people with an mp3 capable 'phone still pay for ringtones? Because some carriers lock out that feature. The fact that most people are too dumb to figure out how to edit and transfer an mp3 doesn't help either. 0 Share this post Link to post

scorpion Posted August 28, 2008 My girlfriend loved it, but everyone else pretty much ordered me to get rid of the "KUI KUI KUI KUI KUI KUI KUI IK BEN EEN KUIKENTJEEEEEE" ringtone. For your reference. Oh, and I psyched out a lot of cab drivers with my 'meow, meow' text message tone, nearly caused an accident once (not that that's THAT hard here). [/that] leileilol said:my ringtone goes 'beedlebeedlebeedle' if you have a problem with that then get a life If you have a problem with people having a problem with your cellphone 'beedlebeedlebeedling', then... well, nothing, really. 0 Share this post Link to post
Richo Rosai Posted August 28, 2008 AndrewB said:I don't have a cell and I'm proud of it. This is how I felt and how I was determined to stay until I had to participate in an extremely conformist society in which I was explicitly passed over for a job for not having a cell phone. I explained clearly why I thought I didn't need one and they trumped me with "but normally people have cell phones". Touché. 0 Share this post Link to post
Guest DILDOMASTER666 Posted August 28, 2008 I have a bunch of Duke3D midis, and from Bashe's midi album I typically use the track "Fgsfds" for text messages, and a really nasty, loud, disease-ridden fart for receiving a picture message. My main ring is Squidward yelling "future". StupidBunny said:I have absolutely no urge to get any fancy ringtones for my phone, since I don't use it for much beyond what it's designed for. Which nowadays includes playing videogames, listening to music, watching TV, listening to radio stations, instant messaging/text messaging, and watching porn. Being able to "wirelessly contact people with voice" is this new side feature they're working on 0 Share this post Link to post
