I brought the DLC off the shelf at my local EB.

Got mine at a Gamestop. They have been out for about 4 months, and the next two DLC's should be out by November.

Yes. But you should only ever play them in order to give you inspiration for doom mapping/modding. :P

Wasn't there a kind of thread like this a few months back?

Probably. Heh. Sorry if there was. Threads like this probably recur from time to time anyway.

btw, whoever said System Shock 2 and Deus Ex? Win. Epic Win.

Personally, I've never understood people who claim they are seriously playing more than a few games at a time. I might have a few "coffee break" games set aside that I waste a few minutes on when I'm bored of whatever other game it is that I'm currently focusing on (fighting games and arcade-ish games are great for this), but I can only seriously concentrate on maybe two games at a time.

Whoever says they can dedicate time to, for example, Fallout 3, Doom 3, HL 2, Quake 4 and Oblivion at the same time must be lying.

I've been procrastinating like crazy with Oolite; a modern freeware remake of Elite that allows for lots of user generated content. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but once you get hooked...

I've still got the reference sheet for Oolite printed out and pinned up behind my monitor. So many hours lost :P It's got one of the best user-content engines I've ever seen in a game, it's so easy to make ships and stuff for it.

I've been playing this quite a bit lately. Despite the similarities, it's a nice change of pace when you've played Diablo II to death.

C&C: Red Alert
C&C: Tiberian Dawn
FreeSpace series
Quake 1
Dungeon Keeper
StarCraft
GTA 2

Though DOOM is the only game I regularly play. The other games I just play once in a while; they remain good if you keep from them some time. DOOM is the only game that's just always good :) although I will say that Red Alert is still my all-time favourite game.

Heroes of Might and Magic II and III (Gold and Complete)
RollerCoaster Tycoon 1 and 2 (All expansions, plus UCES for RCT2)
Duke Nukem 3D
Titan Quest: Immortal Throne
Audiosurf
Diablo II: Lord of Destruction
Soldat
Vice City
and San Andreas

As well as whatever I feel like playing on my NES/SNES/N64/GCN on any given day. Usually it includes any RPG for the SNES, Mega Man 3 or 5 for the NES, and PERFECT DARK. Star Wars Episode I Racer is pretty badass too.

Fallout 3. Playing through a second time as a murderous evil bastard. Using unarmed, explosives, and big guns (missile launcher to hit far away snipers)

I'm trying to keep the gaming to a minimum nowadays but alot of the other games mentioned in this thread I do enjoy besides Doom.

uhhhhhhhh

At the moment, Taxi! (a "click" game that can be found on www.create-games.com) and Tokyo Game Engine (a GTA3-a like engine demo, stripped down to the very basics of stealing cars and running over people. Oh well it's fun to fiddle with the settings so you can have masses of traffic and then create pileups)

Mostly Rock Band 2 lately. Aside from that, uh... I'm a pitiful excuse for a gamer lately. Most of my entertainment comes from listening to music.

I've been playing BlazBlue on my Xbox 360. I'm terrible at fighting games, but I'm still managing to enjoy it. Online play is great as well. I've had no lag during fights.

Some other games I've played over the past year:

Fallout 3
Morrowind
Oblivion
Tales of Vesperia
Gears of War
The Witcher
Halo 3
