I was locking around on the Internet's and found a sand structure that reminds me very much of doom

What's funny is that the image loads up pixelated at first, like a map texture.

After seeing those painful looking faces my first thought was "DOOM!" and I imagined the head at the eighth picture to be an imp. But it turned out to be something different.
But you are right, it reminds me of doom too, even if those devilish looking thingies are very common in those hellish environments and doom makes use of them a lot in its visuals.

It has to be based on the Inferno.

Been a long time since reading it, but I vaguely remember the description of Satan as a colossal "entity" with three faces, eternally gnashing/chewing the bodies of three of history's worst sinners.

I don't understand how people can sculpt like that... amazing.

Aside from the embedded faces, I don't see the resemblance. Seeing as E3 was named after Dante's Inferno, I'm sure there were plenty of textures that took their influence from the Divine Comedy's descriptions.

That being said, that 3-headed beast would make for one hell of a monster.
