There's regulating a business and there's making it illegal. America is full of places who decide things like gambling, drinking, strip clubs, porn, gay sex, drugs, etc. are just plain illegal because they're not popular (or sometimes because they're too popular). This is just wrong. I just refuse to agree with all those people who think the laws of a state should reflect its dominant culture.

This, of course, is also common everywhere else, and indeed usually involves worse examples than you're even likely to find in America. That's one of the awesome things about America. It remains one of the most free places. I still don't get the problem so many places there have with gambling or drinking. Just weird that is. We have a few places here that outlaw gambling. They suck.

I dont see problems with Casinos, if i would go there i would take 100 €/$ and not a single cent more, and when these are gone, they are gone.
Not that i would do that, though, i rather spend my money on video games and old computers. ;)

Hey now, I was the one saying that I wished we used that format as well... I guess, sadly, that because most people get a perception from media, and that America's media is incredibly stupid, that perception falls on just about everybody. Alternatively, you could also get perceptions from the Internet, which is the land of FUCKIN 'MUHRICAH/WAR SUX, FUCK THE MILITARY!!!! with no one presenting a rational argument. That doesn't paint a picture any prettier than the media does.

We don't all suck :(

You'd be right. It sucks here. The only draw about this shit hole at all are its attractions and mild winters. I've lived here for my entire life and now want to just leave its utter monotony.
