baronofheck82 Posted November 5, 2011 Two of my favorite video game soundtracks are Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and PSX Doom. 0 Share this post Link to post

zap610 Posted November 5, 2011 Fell in love the first time I heard this Yay for Korean beat-em-ups! And of course Klonoa where I would need about 5 posts just to scratch the surface Okay I'm done- for now... 0 Share this post Link to post

Sharessa Posted November 6, 2011 Time for some Mass Effect. Let's start with the theme... I loved this part of the game and the music really made it work. 0 Share this post Link to post
Shanoa Posted November 9, 2011 I've too many of these to pick any favourites but here's a few. Castlevania Symphony of the Night: Tales of Symphonia: Tales of the Abyss: Final Fantasy VI: 0 Share this post Link to post
Remilia Scarlet Posted November 9, 2011 I think the game has been mentioned earlier, but not this particular song. Easily one of my favorites of all time (and also my ringtone). 0 Share this post Link to post
Xaser Posted November 10, 2011 No Devil May Cry yet? I DISAPPOINT AM. A few selections from the first game: The second, despite being mediocre, had an excellent soundtrack. A few of my favorites: Not sure how DMC3 managed to pull off vocals in its main fight theme, but it worked crazy-well IMO. That plus some other selections: I was never that impressed by DMC4's soundtrack, but it had some pretty cool tracks: 0 Share this post Link to post
ocanbrn Posted November 12, 2011 I would say Super Ghouls N' Ghost has a very similar vibe like the previous 2, except mainly the first track. That first level is so ridiculously hard that you end up hearing this song so many times. I never realized how much this track had been ingrained in me until I was playing guitar recently and this melody came to my mind while I was playing. Then I realized I was playing this track and felt frustration from 15 years ago past through me again. 0 Share this post Link to post

lupinx-Kassman Posted November 20, 2011 If there was one thing you could always count on in a sonic game regardless of the game's quality, it was awesome music. 0 Share this post Link to post
Platinum Shell Posted November 25, 2011 (The track's original origin is not of that of a game, but it is used in a game, so whatever.) Also, alot of the DooM tracks; both PSX/64, and PC. 0 Share this post Link to post
Dr. Durr Posted December 1, 2011 Half-Life's music reminds me of Doom. Portal 2's music is cool because it changes whenever you do something. 0 Share this post Link to post
valkiriforce Posted December 1, 2011 Lotta good stuff here; kudos to 40oz for posting that Shattered Soldier music and hervoheebo for the Bomberman 64 music. Both had awesome soundtracks. I also agree with those who mentioned the Star Fox sountrack. But this thread still needs Axelay. I remember way back when this was new; the game was mindblowing and I'm still impressed with it. Not just for the soundtrack but the visuals as well. Cybernator (Assault Suits Valken) Soundtrack = Awesomeness. And of course, being the huge Contra fan that I am: 0 Share this post Link to post

DeathevokatioN Posted December 6, 2011 Excellently composed and full with emotion. It's hard to believe in evolution when game soundtracks are so fucking boring and one dimensional these days... does anyone actually enjoy that modern uninspired directionless operatic wank garbage that pops up in so many games, and just seems to be there for the sake of being there, as opposed to stirring up emotions? I'll post some more later. :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Sharessa Posted January 14, 2012 This game had some surprisingly awesome music: 0 Share this post Link to post
