Changes based on the users postcount. No doubt someone has an exact list of postcount/title.

The mods are able to provide custom titles, you can't do them yourself.

Covered in the FAQ.

Titles are usually given out as a response to ones posts, stupidity, etc. You can of course PM the mods asking for a title, but its at their discretion and I think it best to not harass them about minor things like that.

I got my title/avatar back when a mod (Ichor I think) was being nice and handing them out in a thread. This was back when you couldn't change your avatar. Titles/avatars were also given out in a contest where you had to guess what level/pwad a screenshot was from.

My custom title seems to have more to do with how much I posted on ND in 2002-2003 than anything I've done here. I forget how that came about. Probably has something to do with my sig on ND.

Still not "in" on certain aspects of Doomworld lore; such as who the guy is in the Post Hell banner. Someone once told me what his name is (which I forget), but that didn't explain who he is and why he's there.
