I find the KCNA website to be in good taste. Good, elegant, functional socialist design. The few ads it has are at the bottom, discreet, and very idealistic. No twatter or faceshit links, either! That's web design I can appreciate.

They really had a lot of fun playing cybie.wad? Is that what's going on here?

If the cybie represents the decadent, imperialist (and now also heavily indebted and collapsing) capitalist countries, then yeah, you could say that. At least they are very objective about the economic crisis, though I was disappointed in that they don't flaunt how wonderful is living in NK instead, they just point out the other system's faults and failures.

I like the articles where they announce a new book was published or a new pair of boots was designed. Their films articles are good too. All their films are about things like the struggles of workers to build a hydro-electric dam. They make Soviet films look like Michael Bay stuff in comparison.

Here you go scrub:

http://learn.shayhowe.com/html-css/...y-syntax-intro/

WYSIWYG editors (incl. Dreamweaver) are really, really, really crap.

Also, attach this style sheet to your page to fix the problem you mentioned (IE having underlines and Firefox not.)

http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/css/reset/

It's called a CSS reset and strips browser's default formatting. Which is good.

I've set a phBB forum up on the site, and I'm using the Cerulean theme as the forum skin. It's a modified version (I replaced much of it's layout images with my own). Problem is, that the borders for the boxes around things aren't fully replaced. The side and bottom borders don't use images, but are instead apparently being filled with solid color.

I don't know how the borders are set up, or where to look in the skin's code, but what could I do to have it use new 5 pixel wide images as a border instead of solid color?

1. Select offending region in Firefox.
2. Pick "View Selection Source" from context menu.
3. Find offending colour code.
4. Find that in the original source.
5. Profit.

In reality, if the thing's designer had any brains the colour will be in a CSS file somewhere, so you'll have to figure out what element you're looking at and then find the part of the CSS file that matches its class or ID.

You're doing it wrong.
