An update from Dagens Nyheter. Two priests were involved in the exorcism of the 14 year old girl. They are connected to very small Christian groups in Borås.

The parents will be officially detained (häktade) today and charges will probably be filed in a matter of days.

The main problem with this is that they beat the child. It doesn't matter a fuck-all that they're christian or whatever. They physically abused it and need to be sentenced.

Not sure why TT says it's a 12 year old girl, when in earlier articles they reported about a 14 year old etc.

I will order the verdict via email when the judge decides what kind of punishment the couple will receive. To be continued.

This article is interesting with comments from professors in Sweden describing this sort of exorcism and what it ultimately leads to for the victim, namely suicide.
